COMDDAP (Computer Manufacturers
Distributors and Dealers Association of the Philippines) is an
association of the country's top information technolgy
businesses. Its primary objective is to promote the
sustainable development of the of the country's information
technology industry through voluntary collaboration of its
member companies. It is the goal of COMDDAP to be able to
provide its members general views and updates from different
sectors - private and government, and highly regarded individuals
to further uplift the morale and knowledge of its
organization.

The vision of promoting and
elevating the standards of Information technology (IT) in
the Philippines fueled a group of prominent computer
companies to form the Computer Distributors and Dealers
Association of the Philippines or COMDDAP. Its initial
member-companies represent the world's leading makers and
providers of computer products, solutions and peripherals.

COMDDAP
counts among its achievements the holding of the Annual
COMDDAP exhibit, more popularly known as the COMDDAP EXPO,
which has become a consistent crowd drawer and has in
itself set new records in terms of the quality of exhibit
area, exhibitors, visitors, and venues. In fact, COMDDAP
EXPO in 1999 marked the first exhibit to have adapted an
upgraded booth shell schemes

The annual COMDDAP
endeavor encourages its participants to launch their
products and services, as well as hold seminars with a
variety of topics in the areas of technology, trends,
applications, and information management.

COMDDAP's biggest leap was being able to cross boarders or
go regional by bringing the exposition down south in Cebu
and Davao City, and to even greater heights in the cities
of Baguio and Naga, and most recently, in Iloilo City.

Computex Taipei

The USC-TC held their annual IT week last February 12, 2010. One of the highlights was inviting top computer enthusiasts here in Cebu City. The enthusiasts were required to bring their respective rigs to display it at the lobby for the IT students to see the latest computer hardware that is available on the market today. Fine Upgrades was one of the invited guest to display our own rig.

Fine Upgrades Technologies celebrates its 2nd year Anniversary and is giving out 100,000 pesos worth of prizes.

Promo Mechanics:

1. For every purchase of SilverStone Power Supply Unit (PSU) or SilverStone Casing, the customer is entitled to one (1) raffle coupon & one (1) T-Shirt.

2. SilverStone Power Supply Unit (PSU) & SilverStone Casing which costs more than 10,000.00 (SRP) entitles to two (2) raffle ticket.

3. Customers must fill up the raffle coupon with his / her complete name, address, contact number (if any), email address (if any), name of the store where the item / items are purchased, signature and drop in the designated drop box of the store where purchase was made.

4. Deadline for the dropping of entries is on December 31, 2009.

5. Grand draw will be held at Y101 FM Station. Draw date will be on January 10, 2009.

9. Winners will be notified by registered mail, phone call or e-mail and his/her name will be posted at the participating dealers.

10. Winners must present the winning raffle stub, original & photocopies of valid proof of identification with photo & signature (i.e. driver’s license, passport, NBI clearance, SSS, TIN, etc.).

11. Winners can claim their prizes at the participating dealers or directly at FU office.

12. In the event that winners cannot present the raffle stub, the winners need to submit an affidavit of loss duly notarized.

13. Winners under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult who must likewise, present his/her own set of identification papers in claiming the prize on his/her behalf.

14. Redemption of prizes shall be within sixty (60) days from the receipt of notification; otherwise, prize shall be forfeited in favor of Fine Upgrades Technologies, Inc.

15. Promo period is from December 1 – December 31, 2009.

DTI-Cebu Permit No. 772 Series of 2009

Last Saturday, a succesful LAN PArty was held at DOTA Boys Cafe along B. Rodriguez Street. Organized by BFW Gaming.com,(a gaming forum organized by Cebu local gamers) in cooperation with Fine Upgrades Technologies,The event was called FU-BFW Gaming LAN Party. It was attended by both BFW gaming members & istorya.net members as well.The LP started at 6:00 PM and ended at 6:30 the following morning. It was a fun filled event.

The event was called "GarageBand Jam
Session" in which iStore-Ayala was setting up a booth in the mall area. They
had  iMacs and musical instruments on
display and featured  Artist Lessons from
Sting, One Republic and Norah Jones as part of the demo content.

Mall goers came to the booth and was given
a chance to learn songs from the artists who made them famous. The IStore staff
gave demos on GarageBand and to those who came and tried the interactive guitar
and piano workshops. SteelSeries headsets was used in this event.

The first ever Overclocking show in the Philippines, organized by ASUS,
will soon hit the shores of CEBU. ASUS, together with techisland,
www.fineupgrades.com, Silverstone, OCZ, Sunbeamtech and CBX, will put
on the biggest overclocking event ever done in the Philippines. It will
feature two teams, each comprised of CEBU's BEST Overclocking
Enthusiasts. This event is open to the public and will be held in SM
City Cebu.

For those of you who don't know, overclocking is a
way to push your current PC hardware to work above its box
specifications. Mostly, Processors, video cards and rams are the main
elements that can be overclocked.

To find out more about
overclocking, don't forget to check the events out, prizes are at stake
for participants and the viewers as well!

Each person can only have one entry per processor/system per category, this would be the highest OC.

RULES:

* You have to be in Cebu, if you are not in Cebu a representative with a xerox copy of your valid ID and an authorization letter must be made and show to me to be able to claim price. Failure to provide this will result in disqualification of price and the price will be given to the next entry.
* Aircooling only, for those of you with watercooling, wait lang sa ta if daghan namu we will make a seperate thread for that.
* Follow everything stated sa first post. And your post must be posted the proper way, if it ain't, it wont be counted. Send a PM to me every time you have a new POST para dili nako ma miss.
* Computation will be (OC mhz - Stock mhz/ Stock mhz) computed with 4 decimal places.
* In the event of a tie, there will be a sudden death match (ooo I like the sound of this hehehe) which will last for 1 day until someone gets the highest OC.
* Minimum of two cores.
